Player data & privacy
Privacy Policy
01 Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Decompai ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you play Ghost Edge (the "Game") or visit the Ghost Edge website (the "Website"). It also explains the choices available to you.
The Website does not contain account registration or advertising. Google Analytics for Firebase is optional and loads only after you allow analytics; if enabled, it may use first-party analytics cookies. The Website also includes an optional support form and may host limited-time community events. If you use the support form, we process the name or nickname, email address, topic, and message you submit so we can review and respond to your request. If you enter an event, we process the leaderboard name, contact email, score, result screenshot, feedback, and eligibility confirmations you submit. These validated Website submissions are stored in Cloud Firestore. Our hosting provider may also process ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and access time, for security and delivery of the Website.
02 Information we process
Account & identifiers
The Game initializes Unity Gaming Services and may create a unique anonymous Unity Authentication player ID. If you choose platform sign-in, authentication identifiers or short-lived authorization credentials from Apple Game Center or Google Play Games are used to link or restore your game account. We do not receive your platform password.
Leaderboard data
When leaderboard features are used, the Game may submit your player name, player ID, score or completion time, rank, and score metadata to Unity Leaderboards. Names, ranks, and scores shown on a leaderboard may be visible to other players.
Local game progress
The Game stores progress on your device, including whether you have played, level progress, best completion times, best endless-run score, pending score submissions, platform-link state, and analytics preference. This data is stored using Unity PlayerPrefs.
Support requests
If you contact us through the Website support form, we process the name or nickname, reply email, selected topic, and message you provide. We use this information only to investigate the request, reply to you, protect the form from abuse, and improve Ghost Edge based on the feedback you choose to send.
Event entries
If you enter a Ghost Edge Website event, we process the leaderboard name, reply email, score, result or leaderboard screenshot, beta feedback, and the age and rules confirmations you provide. A screenshot may visibly include your leaderboard name, score, or other information you choose to capture. Please crop out anything unrelated before uploading it. Potential winners may additionally provide their country of residence and a Steam profile or alternative game-store account needed to verify eligibility and deliver the prize.
Game analytics & technical data
Where analytics collection is enabled, Unity may process an app-specific analytics identifier, session and interaction events, device and operating system information, app version, language, IP-derived general region, and diagnostic or performance information. Ghost Edge does not currently use advertising SDKs or in-app purchase services.
Website analytics
If you allow Google Analytics for Firebase, Google may process page views,
sessions, approximate location, device and browser information, traffic
source, and a pseudonymous client identifier stored in a first-party
_ga cookie.
03 Why we use this information
- to create and restore a game session;
- to connect an optional Game Center or Google Play Games profile;
- to save progress and remember player settings on your device;
- to submit, retrieve, and display leaderboard results;
- to review, investigate, and respond to support requests;
- to validate event entries, administer a draw, contact selected entrants, deliver prizes, review beta feedback, and prevent event abuse;
- to understand Website traffic and improve the player experience;
- to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Game;
- to comply with law and enforce applicable terms.
Depending on your location, these activities are based on performing the game service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Game, consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.
04 Service providers and platform services
We use third-party infrastructure only where needed to provide the features described above. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy notices:
We do not sell your personal information. The current Game configuration does not include Unity Ads, third-party ad networks, or in-app purchasing. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect players and the Game, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
05 Storage and retention
Local progress remains on your device until it is reset by an available in-game control, removed through your device settings, or deleted when the Game is uninstalled, depending on your platform and backup settings. Unity account and leaderboard information is retained according to Unity's service settings and legal obligations. Apple and Google retain platform data under their own policies and your account settings.
Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we and our providers use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers.
Support requests are stored in Cloud Firestore and kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, investigate recurring issues, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete a support conversation, subject to any information we must retain for those purposes.
Event entries and uploaded screenshots are scheduled for deletion within 90 days after the relevant prizes are delivered, unless we reasonably need them longer to investigate fraud, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal, accounting, or tax obligation. Limited winner and prize-delivery records may be retained for as long as those obligations require.
We may publish or make available limited confirmation that event prizes were validly awarded, ordinarily using a winner's leaderboard name and country. A potential winner can ask us to reduce that information or object to public publication before accepting the prize. We may still provide limited evidence to a competent regulator where required by law.
Website analytics data is retained according to our settings with Google and only for as long as reasonably needed to understand Website usage and improve Ghost Edge.
06 Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or receive a copy of information associated with you.
- Platform sign-in is optional. You can continue with an anonymous Unity game session without linking Game Center or Google Play Games.
- Log out. The in-game Settings menu can sign out, clear the local platform-link flag, and return to an anonymous session.
- Delete account. The in-game Settings menu can request deletion of the current Unity Authentication account and clear local endless-score and platform-link data. Some other local progress or data held by separate services may require a separate request or removal through device or platform settings.
- Platform controls. Manage Game Center data in your Apple settings and Play Games profile data in your Google settings.
- Website analytics. Google Analytics for Firebase is disabled until you allow it. You can withdraw or restore that choice at any time using the Website analytics settings. Withdrawing consent stops Firebase Analytics and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this Website.
- Website submissions. You can ask us to access or delete a support request or event entry by using the Support form and selecting “Privacy & data”. Include the email used for the submission so we can locate it, but never send a password or authentication code.
For access or deletion requests that are not completed by the in-game controls, contact us using the method below. We may need your Unity player ID and limited information to verify and complete the request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
07 Children's privacy
Ghost Edge does not ask players to provide a real name, email address, precise location, or other direct contact information in the Game. The Website support form is intended for players who can provide this information lawfully; a parent or guardian should contact us on behalf of a younger child. Website prize events that request direct contact information are limited to entrants aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it. Platform account features may be subject to Apple, Google, and Unity age and parental consent requirements.
08 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Game, Website, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate notice where required.
